Board of directors has the primary responsibilities to exercise due care when making their decisions and to ensure that effective mechanism of corporate governance is in place to safeguard the interest of investors as well as stakeholders.
With the heightened legal and regulatory requirements, emerging issues from evolving business environment, increasing expectations from investors and stakeholders, organisations are taking on additional risks in running their businesses.
By playing a vital role in risk management oversight and improving the credibility and effectiveness of governance practices, independent non-executive directors (INEDs) need to keep abreast of the latest development in the trends of enforcement actions, emerging issues and governance best practices. To this end, BDO is pleased to present our INED Forum in meeting their needs.
The INED Forum will be held in two consecutive half days on 12 and 13 July 2022 in virtual format on the following topics:
- Updates on the Listing Rules and Corporate Governance Code – from INED’s perspectives
- Role of INEDs in suspension and resumption cases
- Navigating corporate culture
- Regulatory actions against INEDs
- The Rise of Artificial Intelligence-based Machines: Security Paradigm Shift
- Recent development in ESG disclosure requirements
